南岸・卯原内に３万８０００平方ｍのサンゴソウ大群落が広がる 正式にはアッケシソウと呼ばれる
卯原内だけでなく、湖畔のあちこちに点在し、９月になると全体が深紅の色を帯び、まっ青な湖水との見事なコントラストをつくりあげる
